Cheryl's Room

After counting the days, and then the hours and minutes, Carey and I finally are on vacation.   The months since our last Disney trip have been especially hard for me and this vacation is a much needed time to relax and rebuild.   We are staying Disney’s Old Key West resort in a large one-bedroom villa.   The sign at the entrance to the resort proclaims “Welcome Home” and one of the security guards at the entrance always greets us with a hearty “Welcome Home.”  Each time she says that,  it reminds me that Walt Disney World is our second home, a  place where we are treated like family, surrounded by friendly cast members who make sure that every detail is attended to with pixie dust and Disney magic.   Even though the weather is in the mid 90s, and we get hot and tired after a day in the parks, we have that wonderful feeling of being away in a magical place where dreams really do come true.

Quote of the Moment:

“I was thinking about the lagoon in Central Park, down near Central Park South. I was wondering if it would be frozen over when I got home, and if it was, where did the ducks go? I was wondering where the ducks went when the lagoon got all icy and frozen over. I wondered if some guy came in a truck and took them away to a zoo or something. Or if they just flew away.”
