It’s November and as others plan for Thanksgiving I have decided to participate again in National Novel Writing Month where the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. This year I have decided to write my novel entirely on the iPad I received for my birthday. I’m currently up to 8,000 words. Although the mathematically inclined will know that I am behind schedule, the beginning is the hardest part for me, I’m still getting used to the iPad, and most importantly I’m having fun. And hopefully I won’t be fighting the swine flu this year as I’m finishing. Next 42,000 words, here I come!

Quote of the Moment:
“On the trees are only a few gnarled apples that the pickers have rejected. They look like the knuckles of Doctor Reefy's hands. One nibbles at them and they are delicious. Into a little round place at the side of the apple has been gathered all its sweetness. One runs from tree to tree over the frosted ground picking the gnarled, twisted apples and filling his pockets with them. Only the few know the sweetness of the twisted apples.”

Go get ’em. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
And this year you won’t have to be writing on a crowded commuter bus!
You will, as always do an amazing job! I will cheer you on from Texas!
